Re-fret

From £300

When your favourite guitar starts feeling more “fight” than “flow”, the frets could be the culprit.

Over time, frets wear down, flatten out, dent, or simply stop giving you the feel and response you want. A full re-fret gives your instrument a new lease of life, bringing back smooth bends, clean notes, better intonation, and that fresh “plays like a dream” feeling.

It’s also a brilliant upgrade if you love the neck of a guitar but wish the frets were bigger, smaller, taller, smoother, or longer-lasting. Want to turn your trusty old favourite into an absolute player? This is the one.

Full Re-Fret Includes:

Removal of the old frets

Complete cleaning of the fret slots

Fretboard levelling

New frets fitted

Full Pro Setup

New strings fitted

Optional Extras:

Bound board: +£50

Maple board: +£30

Stainless steel frets: +£30

Every repair is different, so we’ll take the time to look over the damage properly, explain your options clearly, and carry out the work with care, patience, and attention to detail.

Repair work is charged at £50 per hour.

“I’ve been using Rob for around a year now for guitar setups and general repairs, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. As a professional touring guitarist, my instruments get put through their paces in and out of planes and vans, so it’s essential that they’re reliable and playing at their best. Rob’s work is consistently excellent.

The quality of his setups is first class, his turnaround times are brilliant, and his prices are very fair.

If you’re looking for someone you can trust with your guitars then Rob is the person to go to.”
